67. 26th Nov was New Moon Day... even in my English class / 26 Nov foi dia de Lua Nova... até na minha aula de Inglês

On 26th November, was “New Moon”’s première day in Portugal… lots of Twi-fans waiting desperately to see the film, blocking up the cinemas for all the country … and it was PREMIÈRE-DAY IN MY SCHOOL, too :D
Yup… no joking. We saw “New Moon” in my English class (when I say “we” I’m referring to the half-class that wanted to see the film, because the others like neither “Edúarde” nor “Jeicóbe”).
I have to own up that it was my fault… I had just bought my 166m-Edward poster (that has Jacob in the other side) and I was showing my friends (which provoked strong and different feelings along the girls and boys of my class --‘). We all started talking about Twilight and we decided to see the film, which was in the USB-pen of someone ;P
It was kind’a fun… Everybody asking «What’s going to happen next?», «What? The vampire is letting her?» and my favourite was «How do you know it?» (I’ve read the book several times I and saw the film. Duuh!).

No dia 26 de Novembro, foi dia de estreia do “New Moon / Lua Nova” em Portugal… montes de Twi-fans esperando desesperadamente para ver o filme, enchendo os cinemas por todo o País… e foi DIA DE ESTREIA NA MINHA ESCOLA, também :D
Yup… não estou a brincar. Nós vimos o “New Moon” na minha aula de Inglês (quando digo “nós” estou a referir-me a metade da turma, porque os outros não gostam nem do “Edúarde” nem do “Jeicóbe” ).
Admito que a culpa foi minha… Tinha acabado de comprar o meu Edward de 1,66m (o poster – que tinha o Jacob do outro lado) e estava a mostrá-lo aos meus amigos (o que provocou sentimentos fortes e diferentes nas raparigas e rapazes da minha turma --‘). Começámos a falar sobre Twilight e decidimos ver o filme, que estava na pen de alguém ;P
Foi divertido… Todos perguntavam «O que vai acontecer a seguir?», «O quê? O vampiro vai deixá-la?» e a minha favorita «Como é que tu sabes isso?» (Eu li o livro várias vezes e já vi o filme. Dahh!).

Este é o sumário dessa aula (quando a professora o estava a escrever, virou-se para nós e perguntou “Qual era o nome do filme dos dráculas?”).

66. FINALLY: My opinion about New Moon (full of spoilers) / FINALMENTE: A minha opinião sobre o New Moon (cheia de spoilers)

First of all, I couldn’t start without apologizing for haven’t written my opinion about New Moon earlier I had tests on school, so I needed to study.
I saw New Moon on 25th November (I haven’t seen it in the cinema yet… just in school xD).
I decided to list my 5 best / 5 worst moments of New Moon.

Primeiro, não poderia começar sem pedir desculpa por não ter escrito a minha opinião sobre o New Moon mais cedo… tive de estudar para os testes da escola.
Vi o New Moon/Lua Nova no dia 25 de Novembro (ainda não fui ao cinema vê-lo… mas vi na escola xD).
Evitando escrever um texto tão grande que ninguém o iria ler… Decidi falar nos 5 melhores / 5 piores momentos de New Moon .


5 BEST MOMENTS: / 5 MELHORES MOMENTOS:
1. Edward saying Romeo’s quotes (it was my favourite part of the film… So nice! Sometimes Robert Pattinson starts mumbling while he’s saying Edward’s quotes, but this time he was perfect!)
Edward a recitar as falas de Romeu (foi a minha parte favorita do filme… Muito bom! Às vezes o Robert Pattinson, quando representa o Edward, não tem a perfeita dicção que é suposto o Edward ter, mas desta vez foi perfeito!)

2. Bella in the forest (because I remembered “FORKS IS TOO GREEN”! It’s while she’s searching the meadow… the landscape is beautifully green.)
A Bella na floresta (porque me lembrei “FORKS IS TOO GREEN / FORKS É DEMASIADO VERDE”! Especialmente na cena em que ela está à procura do prado onde Edward a levou… a paisagem é mesmo verde.)

3. The eyebrow (yes… Edward’s eyebrow lifting during the kiss…)
A sobrancelha (sim… a sobrancelha do Edward a levantar durante o beijo…)

4. October… November… December (I was curious about how would the make that part and I truly like it)
Outubro… Novembro… Dezembro (estava curiosa para saber como iriam fazer esta parte do livro no filme e acabei por gostar muito)

5. Alice vision: Bella as a vampire (Ah! Eureka! Now I know where that photo belonged! That scene was MAGIC!)
A visão da Alice: Bella como vampira (Ah! Eureka! Agora entendo de onde era aquela foto! Essa cena foi MÁGICA!)


5 WORST MOMENTS: / 5 PIORES MOMENTOS:

1. “You can go to hell!” (From where did this rude-Edward appear?! I hated it! Edward is polite, did you read Stephenie Meyer’s books?!)
“Podes ir para o Inferno!” (De onde é que saiu este Edward-mal-educado?! Detestei essa parte! Edward é educado, será que alguém leu o que Stephenie Meyer escreveu?!)

2. The screaming part (I know that Bella’s supposed to scream during the night… but I didn’t like it at the same)
Os gritos (Eu sei que a Bella grita durante a noite, está no livro… mas não gostei na mesma)

3. The fat-ugly-old-guy-with-the-moto (How on earth would Bella accept go on that moto with THAT dude?! Please!)
O gordo-feio-velho-indivíduo-da-mota (Como poderia a Bella aceitar ir na mota com AQUELE tipo?! Por favor!)

4. Bella “writing” to Alice (Nah… that’s not in the book. It almost gives the idea that Bella misses more Alice than Edward. In the book, Bella can’t even think about any Cullen.)
A Bella “escrever” à Alice (Nah… isso não está no livro. Quase que dá ideia que a Bella sente mais a falta da Alice do que do Edward. No livro, a Bella nem sequer suporta pensar em algum dos Cullen.)

5. Victoria getting Harry Clearwater (wanna bet that the people who hadn’t read the book will think that it was the cause of Harry’s heart-attack?)
A Victoria a agarrar o Harry Clearwater (querem apostar que as pessoas que não leram o livro vão pensar que isso foi a causa do ataque de coração do Harry?)


I also liked Emily (the scar looked great), the “I said she’s a girl and a friend” (I laughed a lot), Rosalie’s look (in this film she’s a “breathtaking Rosalie” like is described in the books), the Volturi picture in Carlisle’s officer (which RPattinson brought from Hogwarts – that was a good one, girls :D)… but MY FAVOURITE FAVOURITE FAVOURITE THING from New Moon was… THE SCORE! Alexandre Desplat was more that perfect! Thank you, Monsieur Desplat! The score gave magic and created strong feelings during the film.


Também gostei da Emily (a cicatriz pareceu-me real), “Eu disse que ela era uma rapariga e uma amiga” (fartei-me de rir), o aspecto da Rosalie (neste filme ela é “a Rosalie de tirar a respiração” como é descrita nos livros), o quadro dos Volturi no escritório do Carlisle (que o RPattinson trouxe de Hogwarts – essa foi muito boa, meninas :D)… mas a MINHA PARTE FAVORITA FAVORITA FAVORITA do New Moon foi… A BANDA SONORA! Alexandre Desplat foi mais do que perfeito! Muito obrigado, Monsieur Desplat! A banda Sonora deu magia e criou sentimentos fortes durante o filme.

Today I saw a "Lua Nova"/"New Moon"'s poster in the cinema saying "SOON!". They we're showing trailers of some films, but the New Moon's not yet.
Hoje vi um poster da "Lua Nova"/"New Moon" no cinema que dizia "BREVEMENTE!". Estavam a mostrar trailers de alguns filmes, mas ainda não mostraram o trailer do "New Moon".

61. The vampire that made me don't like vampires / O vampiro que me fez não gostar de vampiros

Once, I said that I’ve never been afraid of vampires. It was a mistake, because I had forgotten this guy:

When I was in the kinder-garden (I was 4 or 5), we used to watch “Sesame Street” VCRs after having lunch. I was deadly afraid of “Count von Count”… but I LOVED “Sesame Street” (I still do). Every time “Count von Count” appeared during the episodes I was with my eyes closed and my fingers in my ears (and asking my friends “Has he already gone? Can I look now?”).
“Count von Count” was the first vampire I “met” in my life and the only one I was afraid.
Yesterday was Sesame Street’s 40th Birthday (20th for the Portuguese version), that’s why I remembered him.

Quando eu estava no jardim-de-infância (devia ter 4 ou 5 anos), costumávamos ver cassetes de vídeo da “Rua Sésamo” depois do almoço. Eu tinha muito medo do “Conde de Contar”… mas ADORAVA a “Rua Sésamo” (ainda adoro). Cada vez que o “Conde de Contar” aparecia nos episódios eu fechava os olhos e tapava os ouvidos (e perguntava ao meus amigos “Ele já se foi embora? Já posso olhar?”).
O “Conde de Contar” foi o primeiro vampiro que “conheci” na minha vida e o único de quem tive medo.
Ontem foi o 40º aniversário da “Rua Sésamo” (20º da versão Portuguesa), por isso lembrei-me dele.

58. Portuguese version of Edward Cullen... or not / Versão portuguesa do Edward Cullen... ou não

I've discovered one thing (EUREKA! =P): If you stay a week apart from TWILIGHT WORLD you'll loose new trailers, new photos of the set, new gossips about the actors...
I've loose it all. =( But it's not about it, I'm going to speak right now... It's about the PORTUGUESE awful VERSION OF EDWARD CULLEN!
No joking, no Halloween trick (by the way, Happy Halloween! :D)... it's true! There's a serie for teens in Portugal called "Morangos com Açúcar" and in the last season they remembered to mix vampires to the story. Yeah, I understand... the serie has been in crisis and nothing better than a vampire to hit it up. But... maybe the vampire isn't much like Edward... maybe you should see by yourself:

Eu descobri uma coisa (EUREKA! =P): Se estiver longe do MUNDO TWILIGHT por uma semana perco novos trailers, novas fotos das filmagens, novos rumores acerca dos actores...
Perdi tudo isso. =( Mas não é sobre isso que vou falar agora... É sobre a terrível VERSÃO PORTUGUESA DO EDWARD CULLEN!
Não é brincadeira, não é partida de Halloween (já agora, Feliz Halloween! :D)... é verdade! Lembraram-se de misturar vampiros à história da recente temporada da série "Morangos com Açúcar". Pois, eu entendo... a série tem atravessado uma crise e nada melhor para aumentar audiencias do que vampiro. Mas... talvez o vampiro não seja muito como o Edward... talvez devessem ver vocês próprios:

Now, seriously... I didn't like this copy of Twilight.
Só tenho mais uma coisa para dizer: porque é que eles estão a falar num cemitério? Não é a FLORESTA DE FORKS MUITO MELHOR?? Team-Forks :)
Agora a sério... Eu não gostei desta cópia do Twilight.

57. Just a month left... Time is running out! / Só falta um mês... O tempo está a esgotar-se!

I'm at this moment surrounded by Chemistry books... so you can imagine that I HAVE NO TIME FOR POSTING (always the same... study!).
I just have to say 4 things:
1. New Moon soundtrack is AVAILIABLE now! *Everybody already knows that!* I didn't listened it yet =X
2. There are NEW New Moon pictures around every single twi-blog... that's why I'm not posting them, too.
3. Some of my friends saw the blog :D They said they've liked (I'll promise to change the template some day... =P)
4. I'll manage to find a second in the weekend to post something. :)

Neste momento estou rodeada de livros de Química... como podem imaginar EU NÃO TENHO TEMPO PARA POSTAR (sempre o mesmo... estudar!).
Tenho 4 coisas para dizer:
1. A banda sonora de New Moon já está à VENDA! *Toda a gente sabe disso!* Eu ainda não a ouvi =X
2. Há novas fotos de New Moon em todos os twi-blogs... é por isso que não as vou postar.
3. Alguns colegas meus viram o blog :D E disseram que gostaram (eu prometo mudar o template, um dia... =P)
4. Vou tentar arranjar um segundo no fim-de-semana para postar algo. :)

"Isto pode doer um pouco." Os meus amigos estão sempre a falar da Dakota (eles chamam à guarda dos vampiros "Vólturi" ;D). E também o "Avô Edward", como a Ni chama ao RP nesta cena.

49. First Biology Class

First day of school. It's not middle of semester neither I'm on a new school.
I enter in my Biology class. No, I don't sit by Edward Cullen... I sit by Ni* =D
And we're not studying "Planerias" neither the Phases of Mitosis, that's in 11th grade (next year). We're studying Geology (our subject is called “Biologia & Geologia A”), so I open my book and see this:

Primeiro dia de escola. Não estamos a meio do semestre nem estou numa nova escola.
Entro na minha aula de Biologia. Não, não me sento ao lado do Edward Cullen… sento-me ao pé da Ni* =D

Stephenie Meyer chose one of the Friar Lawrence’s quotes for the citation of her second book: «New Moon».
«Romeo & Juliet» by William Shakespeare is often referido in «New Moon», initially because Bella is studying it in school and later when Bella compares her situation with Juliet’s.

1. Edward/Romeo has to leave Bella/Juliet and both did it against their wills (Edward thinks that’s the only way to keep Bella safe and Romeo has to run away or he’d be arrested);
2. Both Bella and Juliet apparently kill themselves (although Bella had jumped the cliff to hear Edward’s voice and Juliet has poisoned herself to pretend she was dead in front of her family);
3. Edward/Romeo finds Bella/Juliet “dead” and takes rash conclusions (Edward goes to Volterra and beg the Volturi to kill him and Romeo poison himself).
«I wouldn’t live without you.», this is a very important idea, both in «Romeo & Juliet» and «New Moon». It’s its fault of Edward’s and Romeo’s reaction (in point 3) because they believe their existence would be impossible in that situation.
A curious fact in «New Moon» is Edward criticize Romeo saying that he did «mistake after mistake» , but also Edward will make the mistake of leave Bella and then of wanting to die (without be sure that Bella was truly dead).
Bella asks herself how would end «Romeo & Juliet» if Romeo hadn’t came back and Juliet had married with Paris. She’s, truly, wondering if it would be right to choose Jacob (Paris), once that Edward (Romeo) wouldn’t came back.
Later, when Jacob speaks with Bella and Edward after their return from Volterra, Bella thinks about an excert of «Romeo & Juliet»: «They fight. Paris die.”, so she creates a kind of superstition (if they fight, Paris/Jacob will die), reinforcing the idea of similarity between Shakespeare’s work and her story.
My favourite part of «Romeo & Juliet» is one of their night-talks (Romeo/Edward sneaks during the night to speak with Juliet/Bella):

JULIET – (...) Good-night, good-night! Parting is such a sweet sorrow that I
shall say good-night till it be morrow!

Stephenie Meyer escolheu uma das falas do Frei Lourenço para a citação no seu segundo livro: «New Moon».
A obra «Romeu e Julieta» de William Shakespeare é várias vezes referida em «New Moon», inicialmente porque Bella está a estudá-la na escola e mais tarde quando Bella compara a sua situação com a de Julieta.
Mais uma vez, as linhas de base para a construção da história são semelhantes em «New Moon» e «Romeu e Julieta», especialmente em três pontos:
1. Edward/Romeu tem de deixar Bella/Julieta e nenhum deles o faz de livre vontade (Edward pensa que é a única de manter Bella em segurança e Romeu tem de fugir para não ser preso);
2. Tanto Bella como Julieta aparentemente se suicidam (embora Bella tenha apenas saltado do precipício para ouvir a voz do Edward e Julieta tenha tomado o veneno para se fingir morta perante a família);
3. Edward/ Romeu depara-se com Bella/Julieta “morta” e tira conclusões precipitadas (Edward dirige-se a Volterra e pede aos Volturi que o matem e Romeu envenena-se).
«Eu não viveria sem ti.», esta é uma ideia muito importante tanto em «Romeu e Julieta» como em «New Moon». É a causa da reacção de Edward e Romeu (referida no ponto 3) porque eles acreditam que a sua existência nessa situação é impossível.
Um facto curioso em «New Moon» é Edward criticar Romeu dizendo que ele «faz erros atrás de erros», mas também ele acabará por cometer o erro de deixar Bella e a seguir de se querer matar (sem ter a certeza que Bella estava realmente morta).
Bella questiona-se de como acabaria «Romeu e Julieta» se Romeu não tivesse voltado e Julieta tivesse casado com Paris. Ela na verdade está a questionar-se se seria correcto escolher Jacob (Paris), uma vez que Edward não voltaria.
Mais tarde, quando Jacob fala com Bella e Edward após o regresso de Volterra, Bella lembra-se de um excerto de «Romeu e Julieta»: «Eles lutam. Paris morre.», criando uma espécie de superstição (se eles lutarem, Paris/Jacob morrerá) e reforçando a idea de semelhança entre a obra de Shakespeare e a sua história.

A minha parte favorita de «Romeu e Julieta» é uma das suas conversas nocturnas (Romeu/Edward “esgueira-se” durante a noite para falar com Julieta/Bella):

JULIETA – (…) Boa Noite! Boa Noite! A despedida é uma tão doce tristeza que
continuarei a dizer «boa noite» até que seja manhã.

46. Michael Sheen's daughter has an Aro's poster in her bedroom / A filha de Michael Sheen tem um poster do Aro no seu quarto

I found this quite funny:

He [Michael Sheen] said: "The best thing about it [«New Moon»] is I'm now a poster on my own daughter's wall, which is about the best thing that could ever possibly happen. When they first asked me if I wanted to do it [be «Aro»], I hadn't read the books or anything, so I had to ask my daughter what the character was like without tipping her off… because I didn't want to get her all excited if I didn't end up doing it."

Achei isto bastante interessante:

estou num poster na parede do quarto da minha própria filha, o que é a melhor

[ser «Aro»], eu não tinha lido os livros nem nada, por isso perguntei à minha
filha como era a personagem, sem a deixar desconfiada... porque não queria que
ela ficasse toda animada para o caso de eu acabar por não o fazer."
